Inside Your Infant's Day

Each day your child will be discovering things using all five senses, copying simple actions of the people around them, experimenting with toy instruments, exploring textures, colors, and learning a variety of words and sounds through playing with other children.  Each day is packed with designed activities structured around the six main development areas:

Our infant’s schedule is very flexible and is centered around the individual needs of our infants.  Our infant room schedule can be variable, as it reflects what the babies are doing throughout the day which include:

Community Time
Time Outdoor
 Discovery
Meals and Snacks

Community Time

Community Time is when all infants come together briefly as a group for Talking Together, Books, Songs, and Finger plays.

  • Talking Together: This is a time to acknowledge all infants by welcoming each into the group and talking about any special events or happenings that day.
  • Books: Community Time can also be a time to read books associated with the monthly theme or other events.
  • Songs and Fingerplays: Theme-related song or fingerplay can be sung or performed during Community Time.

Outdoor Play

Outdoor play allows for fun as well as growth and development.

Discovery Baskets

Each day infants will have a turn discovering materials to explore at their own pace and with little, if any, adult guidance. These will represent a variety of different shapes, textures, weights, smells, and sounds.

Meals and Snacks

Meals and snacks will be given as stated by each parent’s feeding schedule individualized for each infant. We value to have the most consistent feeding schedule for our infants as if they are home.
